It may be possible for a learner registered for an Award or Certificate to upsize and register for a larger qualification at the same level, for example, a learner registered for an Award, who wishes to go on and study for a bigger qualification, can upsize to a Certificate or Diploma. The centre should contact the ISM to discuss this before informing the learner as it may not always be possible. The fee for upsizing is £25 plus the difference in the fee amount between the qualifications. The learner may then be RPL’d for the units they have already achieved towards to larger qualification.
It may also be possible for a learner registered for a Certificate or Diploma to downsize to a smaller qualification at the same level, for example, a learner registered for a Diploma, who wishes to reduce their commitment and study for a smaller qualification, can downsize to a Certificate or Award. The centre should contact the ISM to discuss this before informing the learner as it may not always be possible. The fee for downsizing is £15 for each award being claimed. The learner may then be RPL’d for the units they have already achieved towards to smaller qualification.
